What can I do. I still don't like the name. I don't think I'll use it at all, but this blog is going to be closed now. Not that it's been overly open...

   For starters it says nothing about the school.  Corban College... what's that?  With out the tag line very few people would know what we are at all.  Second, the only time the word Corban is used in the New Testiment Jesus is condeming it.  That one isn't as big a deal as the first, but look up the word corban on Google and most of the deffinitions talk about the practice being condemed by Christ.  That, and I really just don't like the way Corban College sounds, and I can't stand the way Corban Warriors sounds.

   So, the name of my school is going to change.  "What's the diffrence?" many people ask.  I know it's not a big deal if we are called Western Baptist, or Corban, or Uncle Roos, but I think having the word Baptist in our name defined who we are.  Not that we will change who we are because we take it out, but people will have to dig deeper to find out who we are.
   Ok, so what's the purpose of this page?  I've had to think about that, which is why I haven't posted much.  What I want is a place where I, or anyone else can voice their oppinions about WBC/CC and not feel threatened.  I am personally against the name change, but I know it's going to happen, and have resigned myself to that.  The reason I started this page was to make sure people understood that Corban College is still a Baptist school despite the lack of Baptist in their name.  In future entries I will have pictures of all the Western Baptist signs around campus, and anything else I can find with Western Baptist or WB on it anywhere.
